Kinesiology
WHAT IS KINESIOLOGY?
Neuroenergetic Kinesiology is a modern form of kinesiology that uses muscle testing to gather bio-feedback based on muscle response. This indicates where stress exists within the body and is an effective stress-management therapy.
The human body has an incredible ability to heal its self and kinesiology assists in the self-repair process, working with the subconscious and conscious memory, physical, emotional and energetic systems.
Using special non-invasive techniques, kinesiology helps to restore balance allowing full flow of energy through the body, mind and spirit.
WHAT KINDS OF KINESIOLOGY ARE THERE & WHAT DO YOU USE?
There are many modalities of kinesiology and I work mainly with NeuroEnergetic Kinesiology (NEK) which draws on the knowledge and experience from/built on the foundation of earlier forms of Kinesiology and has made advances to becoming an extremely comprehensive system which allows more in-depth access to physical, emotional, mental and energetic imbalances. Like many forms of Kinesiology, I use biofeedback i.e. muscle monitoring to access information. This is possible because of the connection between our brain and body via the nervous system. In simple terms, how we think and feel will affect the tension in the muscles. By monitoring the muscles as I speak to clients, test muscles related to particular organs and glands, accessing acupressure/reflex points... during the session, I'm able to get a good picture of the imbalances in a client's body.
These blockages are removed with various methods including acupressure, sound therapy, aromatherapy, affirmations and counselling.
WHAT CAN KINESIOLOGY HELP WITH?
Here are some examples of what I've worked with people on in the past:
- allergies and sensitivities
- aches and pains
- anxiety
- chronic fatigue
- depression
- digestive issues
- fertility
- goal setting
- grief and loss
- moving to/from different phases of life
- relationships
- relocation
- sleep
- work and home stress
- work and school performance
IS KINESIOLOGY A STAND-ALONE THERAPY OR DOES IT COMPLEMENT OTHER THERAPIES?
Kinesiology can be an effective stand-alone therapy. I also have clients who are undergoing other therapies and kind that in conjunction with Kinesiology, the over results is quicker and more effective.
IS KINESIOLOGY REGULATED IN HONG KONG?
Currently, there is no regulatory body for Kinesiologists in Hong Kong. I am a registered member of the Australian Kinesiology Association and abide their Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct and Code of Practice.
